A Different Anniversary.
It was roughly 3 years ago when I decided to inform my coordinator in UIC that I would be accepting their offer as a full-time Clinical Instructor of the Nursing Department. But few hours before going to UIC, I received a call from SPC informing me that I was scheduled for a job interview. It was indeed a perfect timing when God gave me the opportunity to be with SPC again, this time as a Clinical Instructor.
Before my third anniversary with SPC, I had numerous instances when I said to myself that I am starting to lose my interest. But I was always persuaded, by my passion to teach, to love my job all over again. Since year one, I received various opportunities both local and abroad, yet I decided, always, to stay. Before reaching my third year with SPC, and after carefully considering the school’s offer to stay with them, I totally decided to resign and quit the job that I was aiming for, even during my college days. I am not quitting because I don’t like teaching anymore, I am resigning because I am already saturated with the situation around me.
This year’s (third) anniversary as a clinical instructor is something different with the previous years. This time I will celebrate it to reminisce the past and to look forward for a brighter future, and to start something really, really, extra wonderful. The best is yet to be.
